Tahini is as versatile as it is delicious. Use it as an ingredient in both savory and sweet dishes, drizzle it over toast or roasted vegetables, or swirl it into oatmeal or a smoothie. The possibilities are endless!
Unopened, tahini lasts for up to 18 months when stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, your tahini will last for 12 months. We recommend storing your tahini in the fridge to slow the natural separation of oil, which may start to occur after a few months.
If you notice that your tahini has a layer of oil at the top, that doesn’t mean it’s gone bad! All you need to do is give your jar a good stir before using it.
Seed + Mill's three founders, Lisa, Rachel, and Monica, grew up in three different countries: Lisa in Israel, Rachel in Australia, and Monica in the USA. Their paths crossed in New York City in 2015, where they discovered a shared passion for food, cooking, and nourishing their families with healthy, quality food.
In an effort to inspire the community to explore the world through food, and share how versatile and delicious tahini is, they opened a small kiosk in New York’s bustling Chelsea Market in 2016. They're proudly the first store in the US dedicated to sesame products. They welcomed locals and tourists from all over the world, connecting over nostalgic tastes and introduced new audiences to traditional foods, rooted in centuries of culture and history.
