Embrace the essence of the ocean. Aloe, seaweed extracts, and sea salt work together to give hair texture, body, and beach-inspired waves - without ever weighing it down or making it stiff. Organic aloe vera and seaweed give hair a pure, beautiful, and untamed look - which means effortless style for every type of hair. Essential oils of rose geranium and palmarosa conjure memories of wild roses wafting on a coastal breeze with a mist of this refreshing, texturizing spray.
2fl oz

Use on damp or dry hair. Spray evenly from roots to ends. Scrunch for a beach-inspired, effortless look - or style as desired. For extra texture, spray on freshly wet hair before air-drying to add body to strands. Apply one more generous spray once hair has dried for added moisture and a lasting lift and hold. For overnight use, spray hair before braiding, and style the next morning upon removing braid.
As a child, Jana Blankenship loved to make potions mixing roses, pine needles, and wild grasses in water – delighted by the scents and sensations of the natural world. Her grandmothers both influenced her love of plants in their own ways. Jana’s paternal grandmother’s reverence for her garden and the fearlessness of the tides shaped her impressionable young mind, while her maternal grandmother had a background in folk herbalism and cosmetology that she graciously shared, teaching Jana how to use plant-based oils on her skin and hair. At 7 years old, she formulated her first fragrance secretly mixing several potent perfumes from her mother’s collection of vibrantly colored bottles. Her first perfume awakened her creative instinct, and her penchant for alchemy and wonder of nature only deepened as she grew older.
After many years of playing alchemist in her kitchen while balancing work as a full-time curator, Captain Blankenship was born in 2009. From the moment Jana’s passion project evolved into a brand, she have felt compelled to pioneer a new standard in beauty and business. Her own personal call to the wild. Through Captain Blankeship formulas, she hopes to free people from conventional ideas of beauty, guiding them into a deeper connection with nature where they can find their inner wild. Because it is through this inextricable, limitless connection to the world around us that we begin to see beauty in all its forms.
Since its inception, Captain Blankenship has been on a mission to create more beauty while leaving less waste behind. That means fewer ingredients, fewer products, conscious packaging and mutually beneficial partnerships that help restore natural resources that are lost along the way. As they continue their journey in a direction that sustains both people and planet, they deepen their purpose to be a wild force for good, curators of creation and students of nature’s unmatched intelligence. When selecting materials, they seek to see the bigger picture. That means considering not just the first lifecycle of a product, but its many potential lifecycles.
