Rosemary & Bay Hydrosol

Wildcare

Rosemary & Bay Hydrosol

$34.00

Soothing, reparative, and relieving, this was Wildcare's first ever flagship hydrosol back in 2015. Wildcare founder Cortney's first family garden had these two botanicals - rosemary and bay laurel - growing side by side harmoniously and thriving amidst all conditions. This resinous duo is protective and anti-inflammatory, offering gentle relief from eczema, psoriasis, rashes, and other minor skin irritations. It functions magnificently as a restorative daily scalp tonic for itching and dandruff, and can be worked with topically on sore muscles to boost circulation. Emotionally, rosemary and bay laurel have an affinity to move mental stagnancy and revitalize a low mood. You may see it as a charm for enhancing memory, clarity, focus, as well as a grounding guardian of your peace and wellbeing.

3.38fl oz

100% steam distillation of Bay Laurel (Laurus Nobilis)* and Rosemary (Rosemarinus Officials)* from the Wildcare Pacific Northwest family garden

Mist your hydrosol onto clean face or hands until saturated, and pat for ample hydration. For added moisture morning and night, follow by gently massaging a nourishing facial oil into the skin, and finish with another mist of your hydrosol to lock in moisture. Your daily use restores the skin’s natural pH balance.

Founded in 2015 by Cortney Herrera, an intuitive dreamer, mother of two, passionate gardener, photographer, and an alchemist + distiller. Cortney is also currently enrolled in an Advanced Herbal Mentorship Program with Ethnobotanist & Clinical Herbalist Ash Ritter of Black Sage Botanicals since 2021.

Wildcare was brought to life with a dedication to create effective holistic skincare that encourages a sense of place, peace, and plant-speak, as translated through each plant-led product. Wildcare’s ethos are built upon biomimicry, drawing from Cortney’s unique intuitive dreams, visuals, scent memories, and mediumship from nature: so much so that almost every one of Wildcare’s formulas has arrived from a direct iteration of Cortney’s dreams - a relationship deeply built on trust, connection, and patience. Everything Wildcare creates is a catalyst for emotional discovery first, and their formulas have been built upon the culinary groundwork of creating a cohesive recipe, speaking through Cortney’s background in chefworks, and considering how each unique ingredient marries, relates, or grows with the other, whether it be a connection via senses, memory or landscape.

Cortney has coined Wildcare as “Whole-being Skincare” because she feels, above all else, that beauty begins as a relationship, a feeling, and an experience. It actually has nothing to do with what we see. Cortney believes that what we FEEL from the skincare we work with, versus what we see it do, creates more effective long-term results. We are in harmony…we are not separate than. We communicate back and forth with the plants we cover ourselves in every day. When you cleanse, moisturize, mist - you are anointing yourself in plants. They have the ability to shift not just your skin, but your spirit. Whole-being skincare is the notion that they call to you, you call to them, many times unknowingly until you realize they show up when you’ve been speaking something into existence. When you are present to working with skincare at this degree, your whole being has an opportunity to be reclaimed and renewed. The dialogue between you and nature stays open, you’re brought to the garden and your whole-being is integrated. Beauty begins when you feel.
