Oil pulling is the ancient Ayurvedic ritual of pulling or swishing oil through the teeth to support overall oral health and hygiene. Use daily to strengthen gums, whiten teeth, eradicate plaque, and draw toxins out of the body. Oil pulling is also beneficial for TMJ. This oil pulling oil boasts a foundation of sesame oil - known in Ayurveda as the "King of Oil" and the most-used oil throughout this ancient medical system - which offers up its antibacterial and rejuvenation properties to help keep mouth clean and healthy, as well as nourish the gum line and reverse receding gums. Coconut oil is also in the blend, facilitating calcium absorption, helping to stop tooth decay with its anti-fungal properties, and reducing harmful bacteria in the mouth and plaque in gratitude to the antimicrobial fatty acid lauric acid. And with herbs of turmeric, barberry, bhringaraj, amalaki, cinnamon, and clove, this next-level oil pulling oil provides antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent, and antioxidant properties to your dental care routine...helping to harmonize your oral microbiome by supporting the good bacteria while eradicating harmful bacteria. And another incredible benefit of oil pulling, specifically with the blend? Whiter, brighter teeth. Yes, please.

The seed of PAAVANI Ayurveda was planted between Leah Klatt and Trudy Collings during their Herbalism Apprenticeship at the California College of Ayurveda. It was then that the women discovered their common passion for developing skin and body care products that carry on the tradition of Ayurveda. They decided that they wanted to share this with the world. PAAVANI was born a few years later in 2014, when the women opened an office space in Grass Valley, CA, to offer Traditional Ayurvedic Body Therapies. It was at this time that the first products in their line were developed. The women intended to create dosha specific products that they could use in their therapies and further extend out to their community. Leah and Trudy bow to the inspiring forces of the community in which they are blessed to call home. This healing, energetic center in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range is home to the sacred Yuba River, vast horizons of wild natural beauty and creative people who influence them daily. The women give thanks to the powerful energy of this community and the support that it has offered to their creation of PAAVANI. Furthermore, the women seek inspiration and guidance through yoga and its philosophy, song, dance, shamanic journeying and travels around the world. PAAVANI would not be the thriving business it is today without the help of these awakening forces.
